Charter a sailing yacht in Greece bareboat (without crew) and be your own captain!  Set your course and cruise at your own pace.  Choose from one of our various yachts ranging in sizes, but always in excellent condition. This is a perfect way to enjoy your holidays with your family or friends in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy the sport of sailing.  Of course you can just turn on the engine and cruise to your next point of call! Charter periods are usually booked from Saturdays to Saturdays.  You will arrive at your yacht ready to disembark.  We can arrange for provisioning ahead of time and the yacht will be fuelled.  You will be shown the workings of the yacht and before you know it, you will be heading out of the port for your first destination.

Qualifications necessary: To charter a yacht in Greece, it is necessary for two crew members to have sailing certificates or licences.  If in your country such papers are not required, a reference from a yacht club verifying the competence of the skipper is acceptable.  For the second crew member, a sailing resume is enough and at the yacht's base he/she will be asked to complete and sign an official declaration form, stating his/her sailing competence.   All you need to do is provide us with the necessary information and we shall deal with all formalities for you.

How to make a booking. We will consult with you about which type of yacht suits your requirements, the period you wish to charter and the sailing area you wish to cruise.  After these arrangements have been decided, we will 'option' the yacht of choice for you which gives you one week to make the necessary arrangements on your end - your travel arrangements for you and your crew. We will prepare a Yacht Charter Agreement and send it to you for signing.   The document, approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Merchant Marine, protects your interests under Greek law and is a legal requirement for yacht charter in Greece.  Upon receipt of the signed Agreement and your charter deposit of 50%, your charter booking is firm. Security Deposits. All yacht charters require a security deposit and you can choose between a refundable or non-refundable deposit. The refundable security deposit amounts to the excess in the yacht's insurance policy, covering loss or damage to the yacht or her equipment.  Return the yacht (and her equipment) in the same condition as you received her, and your security deposit will be refunded before you leave the yacht.  The cost of rectifying or replacing any damage or loss will be deducted and the balance refunded. The non-refundable security deposit covers this excess, is a much lower fee than the refundable equivalent and, like any insurance premium, is not refunded in any circumstances.  If there is any loss or damage to the yacht or her equipment, you will simply be asked to report it for insurance purposes. Each form of security deposit is payable upon embarkation of the yacht.
